PURPOSE:To repeatedly allow a station to receive data at the timing of circulation and to allow an information processor connected to the station to receive the information when the processor is ready to receive it by constituting a looped optical transmission line where signals circulate at high speed and circulating sent information to be received. CONSTITUTION:Stations 2, 3, and 4 are looped by the optical transmission line 5 and an optical memory link 6, and information processors 2a-2c, devices 3a-3c, and devices 4a-4c are connected to the respective stations. Sent data is transmitted in the transmission format 10 consisting of at least position information indicating the head of information, discrimination information indicating whether or not there is sent data, and transmission destination information. Then each station decides that there is data from the discrimination information received from the optical transmission line and that the data is addressed to the information processor connected to the station from the transmission destination information, transfers the received information to the information processor, and outputs changes the discrimination information into a no-data state and outputs the received data from its optical transmission part to the optical transmission line in the direction of the circulation on the optical transmission line. |
