PURPOSE:To obviate a fixing member like a snap ring and reduce the quantity of parts by supporting a guide member for guiding the piston rod of a master piston and a guide ring for guiding the operation of a booster piston via the mutual contact thereof. CONSTITUTION:A master cylinder M has a guide member 30 fixed to the back of a cylinder proper 1 for guiding the piston rod 29 of a master piston 8. Also, a guide ring 50 for guiding the operation of a booster piston 53 is fixed to the front of the booster cylinder 42 of a hydraulic pressure booster B to be connected to the rear end of the cylinder proper 1. In the aforesaid construction, a contact support part 30b coming in contact with the cylinder proper 1 is formed on a guide member 30 at the front thereof and the guide ring 50 is made to have a contact face 50b in contact with the booster cylinder 42 at the back thereof. Also, a contact projection 50a is extruded from the guide ring 50 with the front end thereof in contact with the back of the guide member 30 and for fitting the guide member 30 to the cylinder proper 1. |
