The present invention relates to the production of diamond tools which are used for dressing grinding discs and in particular relates to a copper-based metallic bond for producing the working layer of diamond tools. The metallic bond consists of the following components, in % by mass: tin 13 to 18, titanium anhydride 7 to 10, niobium 1 to 5, the remainder being copper.
