PURPOSE:To obtain a liquid crystal color display body which is definitely outstanding in the reliability of color reproducibility, light resistance and heat resistance and has high-grade image quality and high reliability by providing red, green and blue picture elements contg. water developable photosensitive synthetic resins and pigments and black matrix on a transparent substrate. CONSTITUTION:The color filter which has the red, green and blue picture elements 2 contg. the photosensitive synthetic resins and pigments and the black matrix 2b on the transparent substrate and has further a protective layer 2c and transparent electrode layer 2d on the surface is prepd. Negative type photosensitive resins consisting of at least one kind selected from the group consisting of a PVA resin, copolymer resin of vinyl pyrrolidone and methyl methacrylate, and polyamide polyacrylate resin are adopted for the photosensitive synthetic resins. The color filter rendered with the patterns of high accuracy by the photosensitive synthetic resins and the good environmental resistance by the pigments is thereby obtd. |
