PURPOSE:To improve the uniformity by arranging plural light emitting diode chips of resin seal type in a line and collecting the light lighted through a barrel type acrylic lens into a line thereby widening the light collection width of the linear light collection part and decreasing the deviation of illuminance. CONSTITUTION:Plural light emitting diode chips 7 are arranged in a line in a linear thin and long resin forming case 10, the inside of the resin forming case 10 is sealed by a transparent epoxy resin 14 and the linear barrel type acrylic lens 15 is arranged onto the upper face of the rein forming case 10 in the picture read light emitting diode array light source. Thus, the light collecting width of the linear light collection part of the radiated light is widened and the distribution of luminous quantity is uniformized.
