PURPOSE:To dispense with a power source for exclusively indexing tools to provide a simple economical mechanism by providing a gear means engageable with another gear means rotatable together with a tool spindle and connected mechanically to a tool magazine disk. CONSTITUTION:A tool TO mounted on one end side of a tool spindle 34 can be sent to a predetermined tool clamping portion of a tool magazine disk 54 through the shift of a column 16 and the shift of a spindle head 36. And further a gear 46 mounted on the other end of tool spindle 34 is adapted to mesh with other gear 56 through the shift of column 16 and spindle head 36 so that a desired tool T on the tool magazine disk 54 is indexed by a predetermined angular rotation of tool spindle 34. Then, the desired tool T is received and returned to a working area through the shift of spindle head 36 and column 16. Thus, a power source for exclusively indexing the tool is dispensed with to provide a simple and low cost mechanism. |
