Arrangement consisting of twinned wires made of memory metal which, on heating and cooling, produce a force arranged around an axial plane or a reciprocating movement. The wires are connected to elements suitable for certain purposes. The arrangement allows great movements with little material deformation and small temperature differences and also permits a high cycle rate because twinned wires cool more rapidly than solid elements of the same mass.
