PURPOSE:To improve the reliability of a damper by constituting the stationary plate of the damper so as to be in an immovable state toward the rotation of a movable shaft or toward the traction direction but freely movable toward its thickness direction by the engagement with a casing and a movable plate also is freely movable toward its thickness direction. CONSTITUTION:When the external force is applied to a movable shaft 2 as torque or linear traction power, a movable plate 6 engaged with or connected to the movable shaft 2 is rotated or drawn. At this juncture, viscous shearing resistance force generates between the movable plates 6... and the stationary plate 7 which is in a stationary state. The actuation of this viscous shearing resistance force as resistance against the external force achieves the usefulness as a damper. Because the viscous fluid, at this time, flow toward the places of larger viscous shearing resistance force as aligning effect, the movable plate 6 and the stationary plate 7, both having degree of freedom, fluctuate to equalize the clearance according to the aligning effect even if there is difference in the width of the gap between the movable plate 6 and the stationary plate 7. The consequence is that there is no damage of the members as on excessive resistance is not applied locally. |
