PURPOSE:To make polishing of entry guide rolls easily by protruding the entry guide rolls of a rolling mill together with their frame to the outside of the housing and rotating by a driving mechanism. CONSTITUTION:Entry guide rolls 4 are moved in the direction of the arrow B together with the frame 3 and protruded to the outside of a housing 1. Under this condition, the projections of the entry guide rolls are connected to a shaft in a through holde provided in the frame and locked. A driving motor is then rotated. A chain connected to the motor rotates the above-mentioned shaft, and at the same time, rotates entry guide rolls connected thereto. At this time, abrasive is held against the surface of the entry guide rolls and slid in the axial direction of the entry guide rolls by a lever mechanism to polish the surface. After that, the rolls are moved in the direction of the arrow A and installed in the housing 1. |
