PURPOSE:To prevent erroneous operation by engaging a plurality of trigger means with a plurality of sensor weights which are displaceable in the directions in which acceleration and deceleration are effected, and by operating an energy means with the use of the trigger means when the plurality of sensor weights are displaced simultaneously in the same direction. CONSTITUTION:When a vehicle bumps so as to effect a deceleration exceeding a predetermined value, a pair of right and left pendulums (sensor weights) 21a swingably suspended from both side surfaces of a sensor body 20 in an acceleration sensor 12 are tilted forward by a inertia force, overcoming the urging force of a bias spring 36. Thereby hooks 34 of a pair of trigger arms 29 swingably journalled in a see-saw manner, are released from projections 33 on the pendulums 21a, 21b. Then, a restraining force acting upon a firing pin 24 is released so that the latter is launched toward a detonator 39 under the accumulated force of both coil springs 27, 28, and therefore, thrust explosive 38 is exploded. Thereby a seat belt is retracted by means of a drive device (not shown) to restrain a passenger. |
