<p>PURPOSE:To prevent design from wearing out first of all during use and consequently to maintain the decorativeness over a long period of time by a method wherein the designs are formed under the condition that they are slightly dented from the surface, on which no design is applied. CONSTITUTION:In a decorative bar-like body, which is produced by bonding a heat-shrinkable tube having designs such as characters, patterns and the like printed with pigment on the surface to the bar-like body by covering the bar-like body with the tube and, after that, heating the tube, the designs are dented from the surface, on which no design is applied. In this case, the tube is manufactured by extruding thermoplastic resin in the form of a tube and, after that, stretching the tube peripherally and finally quenching. As the thermoplastic resin, polyolefin-based resin, polyvinyl chloride-based resin, polyacrylic resin and the like can be exampled. As coloring agent, inorganic and organic pigments and metal powder are exampled. As the bar-like body, bar, pipe and the like made of any material, which neither softens nor deforms during the thermal shrinkage of the heat-shrinkable tube, such as metal, synthetic resin, ceramics and the like will do.</p> |
