Detonator with wire volatilised by HT discharge - for two-component explosive, with complete inactivity before mixing

Detonator comprises a conductive wire which is volatilised by a HT electrical discharge, the current initiating detonation of an explosive with two components of the type of "Astrolite", "Nitroroc" (RTM) etc. The detonator is completely inert prior to mixing. Pref. a conductive wire is mounted in a support and connected to a HT generator which volatilises the wire, creating a shock wave; the detonator, which is immersed in a liq. explosive, ignites the latter. The detonator consists of a small reservoir which, at the moment of use, receives a two-component explosive mixt. which is ignited by HT discharge through a wire; before filling, the detonator contains no explosive and can ignite conventional explosives.
