<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate retreat with simple constitution by controllably feeding back the transmission torque of a clutch for a vehicle in the direction of reducing vehicle speed when both proceeding direction of speed change range and direction of a vehicle are different from each other in the fully closed opening of a throttle under a non-braked condition. CONSTITUTION:An engine 10 is rotatably connected to an input shaft 16 of a continuously variable transmission 14 through a powder clutch 12 to constitute a speed change gear through variable pulleys 22, 28, a transmission belt 20 and a sub-transmission 30. When a vehicle is under the non-braked condition and the opening of a throttle is fully closed, and when the proceeding direction of speed change range is different from the travelling direction of a vehicle, the transmission torque of clutch for the vehicle is controllably fed back in the direction of reducing the vehicle speed. This method can remove the effects of load weight, time dependent change, etc., prevent creep or the like and effectively eliminate retreat of vehicle, compared with one for detecting the inclination of a road surface to increase clutch transmission torque.</p> |
