PURPOSE:To obtain a film for shrink packaging, having excellent transparency and gloss, by blending ethylene.propylene random copolymer with petroleum polymer, etc., and ethylene.alpha-olefin polymer in a specific proportion, melt forming a film and uniaxially orienting the formed film. CONSTITUTION:A polymer composition consisting of 45-87wt.% ethylene.propylene random copolymer (preferably with 3-6mol.% ethylene content), 10-40wt.% petroleum polymer and/or terpene type polymer (preferably having 60-150 deg.C melting point) and 3-15wt.% ethylene.alpha-olefin polymer (preferably 1-butene, etc.) is melt formed into a film, which is then uniaxially oriented to afford the aimed film for shrink packaging, having 1-3g/10min melt flow index, -30--60% heat distortion ratio in the orienting direction after heating in an oven at 120 deg.C for 15min and <=-7% in the direction perpendicular thereto and suitable as labels of containers, such as bottles or cans for juices, etc. |
