The control unit for changing the running speed of a paraffin burner in accordance with the invention comprises: - a manual control member 31, - a transmission member 32 acting on an adjustable pressure regulator 20 and on a movable slide valve 3 for adjusting the air, with elastic return, - a body 41 for reheating the paraffin upstream of the burner 9, - and a contact 35 controlled by the transmission member for engaging the operation of the said reheating body.
