PURPOSE:To surely collect trace information and to reduce the manhour for a fault analysis by managing plural trace files by a trace file management table and switching the trace file at the time of coincidence of a trace output condition of the generation of a fault event, etc., and at the time of request of a trace output from an operator. CONSTITUTION:An input message analyzing means 14 analyzes an input data from an operator's input device 3 and executes a trace collection start request, a trace collection end request and trace output request to a trace collecting means 12. Subsequently, a trace file switching means 15 rewrites trace file information on a trace file management table 42, based on a file switching request executed from the trace collecting means 12, at the time of request of a trace output from the input message analyzing means 14 and at the time of request of recording of trace informing conforming with a trace output condition from a communication control means 11. In such a way, trace files 51-53 to which the trace information is to be written are switched. In such a way, the trace information until its time points is outputted without stopping the collection of the trace information.
