PROGRAM START CONTROL SYSTEM

PURPOSE:To decrease the number of operation steps to start a program when plural documents are edited at one time by using three fields. CONSTITUTION:An icon control table 50 is prepared for each icon 32. The table 50 includes a field holding the start enable frequency, a field holding the programs under starting states, and a field showing an icon pointing state. When the start enable frequency is set at (n), '1' is added to the number of programs set under the starting states by a program start processing means against the icon designation frequency up to (n-1) number of times. Then the corresponding program is started. In the n-th icon pointing action, '1' is added to the number of programs under the starting states and a program starting means switches an icon designating state to a designation inhibiting state. Then an icon display changing means displays an icon designation inhibition state. Thus it is possible to unify the start instruction to a program that can be started in plural times and that to a program that can be started once only.
