摘要

PURPOSE:To attain error detection and correction coding among plural sectors and to record an address specific to each sector as a control data of the sector by applying overall parity between sectors. CONSTITUTION:One track is constituted of (2<m>-1) set of information sectors 2 with the information recorded and one check sector 1 recorded with the overall parity of the information sector 2. Each sector 2 is divided into three logic areas, data area 3, a control data area 5 and a parity area 4 and the overall parity with respect to each information symbol of the information sector of (2<m>-1) set of information sectors is recorded to the data area 3 of the check sector 1. Then an address of a sector specific to each sector is recorded as the control data to each sector including the check sector 1 and the error detection correction coding is applied to plural sectors.
