PURPOSE:To improve workability and responsiveness by a method wherein a piezoelectric porcelain plate of a laminar sintered element which is polarized beforehand and internal electrode layers are laminated and fixed to each other at a temperature below the Curie point of the piezoelectric porcelain plate. CONSTITUTION:Internal electrode layers 2a and 2b are applied to the main surfaces of a piezoelectric porcelain plate 1 of a laminar sintered element which is poralized beforehand at a temperature below the Curie point of the piezoelectric porcelain plate 1. A plurality of the piezoelectric porcelain plates 1 are laminated with insulating adhesive so as to make the internal electrode layers 2a and 2b provided alternately to form a laminated unit 3. Then insulating layers 4 which insulate the exposed parts of the internal electrode layers 2a and 2b every other layer are applied to a pair of respective end surfaces at the facing positions of the laminated unit 3 asymmetrically at a pair of the laminated end surfaces. Then external electrode layers 5 which connect the exposed parts of the internal electrode layers 2a and 2b to which the insulating layers 4 are not applied every other layer are applied and the laminated unit 3 are cut into piezoelectric laminated actuators 6 with a required width.
