PURPOSE:To enhance bearing characteristics by forming a spiral groove bearing by means of stationary side thrust receiving surfaces being opposite to the rotating side thrust receiving surfaces provided on the rear side of an impeller inlet. CONSTITUTION:On the main plate 5 and the side plate 6 of an impeller 4 consisting of a ceramic sintered body, rotating side thrust receiving surfaces 5', 6' are provided so as to be opposite to the stationary side thrust receiving surfaces 10', 12' of casings 7, 8. A spiral groove bearing is formed by both thrust receiving surfaces 5', 6', 10', and 12'. Thus, the rigidity of the fluid film on dynamic pressure bearing parts can be increased, and even the load for a larger thrust force can be supported in the state of non-solid contact.
