PURPOSE:To expedite the replacement of a sucking tool by a method wherein separating and mounting of the sucking tool are performed at positions different with each other and a sucking tool holder is conveyed along a closed loop. CONSTITUTION:A vacuum sucking device 70 performs pick-up and placement work of component parts while travelling intermittently along a trajectory of a closed loop. A sucking tool stocker 230 make holders selected from a sucking tool holder 241 to be aligned with two points which cross the trajectory loop of the vacuum sucking device 70 and then receives a sucking tool 93 from the device 70 at one crossing point and delivers a sucking tool 93 to the device 70 at the outer crossing point. By these processes, a large number of component parts can be mounted at high speed.
