The invention relates to an apparatus and a process for repairing a sewer pipe, in which it is not possible to walk, by means of a displaceable repair carriage which is supported on the inner wall (12) of the sewer pipe via three running supports (26) and can thereby be aligned, with its central axis (18), precisely on the central axis of the sewer pipe (10). A rotating working head (16) has a feeler roller, an application nozzle (22) and a smoothing spatula (30), by means of which repair material (24) can be continuously applied in order to produce a new inner wall (13), the nozzle (22) and the smoothing spatula (30), in the same way as the feeler roller, being arranged such that they can move selectively in the radial direction in order to be able to ensure adaptation to the given conditions. <IMAGE>
