PURPOSE:To improve efficiency of unloading work, in a container sliding device, by securing a cargo onto a slider having a sliding mechanism constituted with a plurality of large and small balls and moving the cargo on guide rails laid on the deck. CONSTITUTION:A pair of sliders 4 are waited on guide rails 2a, 2b laid in longitudinal direction immediately below a hatch 40 with such length as corresponding to that of a cargo, then the cargo is mounted on the slider 4 and secured through a locking mechanism. The slider 4 is engaged with a running chain 2d through clamps 5. Then chains 2c, 2d are driven through a driving force transmitting mechanism 2f to run the slider 4 on the rails 2a, 2b through a ball sliding mechanism so as to move a container. Similar operation is carried out in lateral direction through guide rails 3a, 3b, chains 3c, 3d and a driving force transmitting mechanism 3f. With such arrangement, work efficiency can be improved.
