PURPOSE:To upgrade interpole insulating performance and to realize miniaturization and reduction of an interrupter by quickly exhausting a high-temperature gas through a rectification guide member located in the vicinity of a fixed part of a fixed contact maker after extinction is finished. CONSTITUTION:A gas which contributes to extinction so as to become high- temperature is increased in its pressure by an action of an unillustrated piston and it is exhausted along a fixed contact maker 7 in the direction of a member 22. The member 22 is fixed on a position where the fixed contact maker 7 is supported on an interrupter body, and it is formed in a taper-flat shape toward a side end part of the fixed contact maker 7. A plurality of the members of the same shapes are disposed symmetrically to a vertical axis of the fixed contact maker 7, and respective gaps formed therebetween are made to function as gas channels. Accordingly the members 22 serve as rectification guides for the gas channels and hence a gas channel cross-sectional area is equivalently increased. Even if the interrupter is miniaturized, interpole insulating performance can be prevented from being deteriorated.
