PURPOSE:To obtain a rubber composition for tires, consisting of polybutadiene rubber having a given amount of 1,4 trans bonds and a diene based rubber and having a high elastic modulus and good abrasion resistance. CONSTITUTION:A composition obtained by blending (A) >=15pts.wt. polybutadiene rubber having 60-90wt.% 1,4 trans bonds with (B) the remainder of a diene based rubber (e.g. natural rubber or synthetic polyisoprene rubber) in 100pts.wt. rubber component.
