PURPOSE:To improve surface quality of a metal strip and service life of a weir by forming pouring basin part on a running belt inclinationally arranged and rotatably arranging a roll weir at end part of the pouring basin part. CONSTITUTION:The belt 1 is arranged from a pulley 2b at upper position side to a pulley 2a at lower position side and the pouring basin part 4 is formed on this upper surface. Then, at the end part of the pouring basin part 4, that is, at the lower position side, the roll weir 16 having surface layer 17 of refractory, etc., is rotatably arranged. As the lower position side of the pouring basin part 4 is partitioned by arranging the roll weir 16, the solidified material stuck on the weir 16 is easily detached through the rotation of the weir 16 and remelted. By this method, as development of cold shut on the surface of the metal strip 11 is prevented, the surface quality of the metal strip 11 is improved. Aa friction resistance between the weir 16 and the belt 1 is reduced, durability of the weir 16 is improved. |
