PURPOSE:To improve local discharge and a cycle life by using poly aniline, of which equilibrium pH of extract is in a specified range, for an active material of a positive electrode. CONSTITUTION:Poly aniline is used for an active material of a positive electrode. The poly aniline in this case shall have the character that when 1 gram of the poly aniline is extracted by the water of 200 cc the equilibrium pH of the extracting water shall be 2.4 to 4. Thereby local discharge is suppressed and a secondary battery of a long cycle life is obtained. When the equilibrium pH of the extracting water is lower than 2.4 or higher than 4, discharge capacity and capacity retention are lowered. As for an active material for a negative electrode the use of Li-Al alloy containing Li of 25 to 65 atomic% is preferable. |
