The present invention relates to a method of identifying a person for access to the premises of a company, an authority or an institution, or to premises for secret activity or to buildings, premises, storage spaces etc. reserved for one or more authorized persons, and also to equipment and systems, for example a telephone system. The invention is characterized in that the special smell of the person is sensed by at least one sensor, the output signal of which is used to identify a person authorized for access, if appropriate for registration also, via a computer-controlled checking function. The output signal is compared with a control value fed into the computer-controlled checking function, and, in the event of agreement therewith, the identification is approved. In order for access to be granted, it may also be required that a sensor confirms that the imprint was left by living skin. |
