PURPOSE:To make the exchange of magnetic rollers unnecessary and to simplify the structure of an image forming device so that maintenance and inspection can be carried out easily to the device, by causing a developing electrode to utilize part of the casing of a developing device and providing the magnetic roller outside the developing device. CONSTITUTION:This image forming device is provided with an electrostatic latent image carrier (photosensitive drum) 4, developing device 5' opposed to the carrier 4, and developing electrode 24 provided at part of a developing device casing 23 in the vicinity of the carrier 4. At least the developing device 5' is set in a state where the device 5' can be removed from a magnetic roller 2 which is provided at a position opposing to the electrode 24 outside the developing device 5' and whose both ends are supported by the main body 1 of this image forming device and the main body 1 under a condition where the magnetic roller 2 is attached and detached to and from the main body 1. Therefore, even when the developing device 5' is removed from the main body 1, the magnetic roller 2 remains on the main body side. Therefore, the cost of this image forming device can be reduced and, at the same time, the internal structure of the developing device 5' is simplified resulting in simplification in maintenance and inspection.
