The cover wall region consisting of an axial edge flange (15), an annular flange zone (16) and a collar (16.1) formed on inwardly therein extends over a filling and emptying pipe piece (12) of the container with an edge flange (13) formed on the pipe piece (12). The annular flange zone (16), the collar (16.1) and the pipe piece (12) are held together by a V-shaped clamping ring (18), an outer support ring (18.1) of which overlaps the edge flanges (13, 16) and an inner support ring (18.3) of which presses a sealing ring (17) into a receiving space which is delimited on three sides by a part of the filling and emptying pipe piece (12), the edge flange (13) formed thereon and the inwardly directed collar (16.1). The result of this construction is a container-opening closure which has increased resistance to damage and the seal becoming leaky. <IMAGE>
