PURPOSE:To improve the sensitivity of the titled material by forming the inner core of a silver halide particle from silver bromide or silver iodobromide, and by providing with at least one of the shell at the outer side of the inner core, and by making the silver iodide contents of the inner core and said shell to higher than that of the most outer shell. CONSTITUTION:The silver halide particle is formed by providing with the inner core and at least one of the shell, and the inner core is substantially composed from silver bromide or silver iodobromide. And, the inner core and at least one of the shells are formed so as to be the silver iodine content higher than that of the most outer shell by >=6mol.%. At the time of forming the inner core and said shell (the high iodine content shell), the silver ion concn. of the silver halide solution is controlled to <=1.3 normality by adding the silver ion solution during growing the silver halide particle. And, the silver iodine content of the most outer shell is controlled to >=0.01mol.%. Accordingly, as the titled material contains the silver halide particle, the sensitivity of the titled material is improved in a spectral range which is sensitized spectrally the titled material with a color matter, and the interrelation-ship between the sensitivity and the fog, and the graininess of the titled material are improved. |
