PURPOSE:To reduce the possibility of collision of transmission signals in a star run, by attaching respective proper address on each of (n) hubs, and providing an address detecting means. CONSTITUTION:When the transmission address in which the station address of an intermediate stage hub (b) is inserted to a connection hub address is inputted from a station b1 to the hub (b), an address detection circuit 41 compares an inputted connection hub address with an incorporated own station address. And when coincidence is obtained, switches 25 and 42 are driven, and the transmission signal is folded and connected, and no transmission to a host stage hub (a) is performed. Thus, since no transmission signal to the host hub is delivered, the possibility of the collision of the transmission signal at the host hub (a) can be evaded.
