PURPOSE:To enlarge and observe the waveform of an arbitrary position on an arbitrary line on a screen by simultaneously outputting a trigger signal for arbitrarily setting a generating timing as well as a picture signal. CONSTITUTION:The generating timing of the vertical synchronizing signal of the picture signal (a) outputted from a picture signal generating circuit 21 coincides with the generating timing of the reference trigger signal (b) outputted from a control part 23. A delay time between the generating timing of the vertical synchronizing signal of the picture signal (a) and the generating timing of the trigger signals c, f externally outputted from a trigger signal generating circuit 25 is set in an operating part 22 through the control part 23. Thus, the generating timing of the trigger signals c, f externally outputted from the trigger signal generating circuit 25 can be set to an arbitrary position in the picture signal (a) of one frame. Thereby, the signal waveform of the arbitrary position on the arbitrary line on the screen such as a television can be simply enlarged and observed.
