<p>The invention relates to a pneumatic device for the automatic clutch operation of motor vehicles, principally of passenger vehicles and buses powered by spark ignition engines. It has an electro- pneumatic control valve (12), which is connected to a pneumatic element operating the clutch. The electro-pneumatic control valve (12) is to be connected to the outside air via a vacuum line (13) connected to the engine's intake pipe (1) and via a choke. In addition the control valve (12) is electrically connected to a switch (11) on the gear lever (5) of the motor vehicle. The essence of the invention lies in the fact that the device, whilst retaining its original components and their functions without modification, is designed as an additional adaptor (6), which can also be retrofitted in the motor vehicle, in which adaptor the electro-pneumatic control valve (12) is connected to an engine speed-dependent control unit (20), and a depression- dependent throttle valve (19) is also installed parallel to the electro-pneumatic control valve (12) between the vacuum line (13) and the air line (14) of the pneumatic element, preferably a diaphragm (9). <IMAGE></p> |
