CONSTITUTION:A header body 25 moves in the crosswise direction within the main frame C with the guidance of an upper support 16 and a lower support 17 by driving a driving motor 29, and an excavated trench B is excavated by operating its head 41 and a cutter 42 properly. At this time, the header body 25 is driven by a chain driving system with an upper chain 25 and a lower chain 27. And, the header body 25 itself also moves vertically within the main frame C by moving vertically a front guide 12 and a back guide 13 by operating a driving cylinder.
