The present invention relates to an installation for automatically storing components, particularly motor-vehicle components, in containers. The installation is characterised in that it comprises a device 2 for conveying components from the exit of a manufacturing unit 1 towards a predetermined location of the conveying device 2; a device 5 for lifting each component located at the predetermined location, below the conveying device 2, and a device for gripping each component in the raised position and transporting it 3 towards a storage container C.
