The magnetic information carrier with magnetic field protection serves the purpose of protecting the magnetic coating of a magnetic information carrier, and in particular information stored on it, against disturbing influences of a magnetic field. The protection from these magnetic fields, which may have the consequence that the entire information on a magnetic information carrier is erased, is achieved by utilising the Faraday principle, the housing surrounding the magnetic information carrier being provided with a metal grid or metal particles, which have the consequence that the magnetic field has no disturbing effect on the magnetic coating of the magnetic information carrier. <IMAGE>
