PURPOSE:To enable hard copying, by forming each image data through eliminating a background color from data stored in a bit map memory, and superimposingly writing the image data into a work bit map memory to convert the image data into a monochrome image data. CONSTITUTION:When a BMP 4b is supplied with a hard copying command from a CPU 4a, the BMP 4b reads starting coordinates, sizes and background colors of windows W1-W3 of a memory 4c, forms data through painting out a frame plane (m) in a background color in a work plane 6a, subjects the data thus formed and data in the frame plane (m) at the same coordinates to an EOR operation to rewrite the data, and writes the rewritten data into a work plane 6b through an OR operation. When data obtained from all data in frame planes P0-P2 through background color elimination and superimposing is completely formed in the work plane 6b, the CPU 4a transfers the data to a monochrome printer 7, which prints an image. Thus, hard copying of information on a color screen can be performed through using an inexpensive monochrome printer. |
