摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain a sintered material composed of single AlN phase having high density and high thermal conductivity, by calcining a molded article com posed of AlN powder and an alkaline-earth metal compound or a specific sintered article containing AlN as a principal phase in a reducing atmosphere containing N2. CONSTITUTION:The objective sintered material can be produced by calcining (A) a molded article produced by mixing aluminum nitride powder having im pure oxygen content of <=7wt.% and an average particle diameter of 0.05-5mu with 0.01-15wt.% of an alkaline-earth metal compound in terms of alkaline- earth element and molding the mixture or (B) a sintered article having an alkaline earth element content of 0.01-15wt.% and oxygen content of 0.01-20wt.% and containing AlN as a principal phase and (alkaline-earth element)-Al-O compound phase and/or (alkaline earth element)-O compound phase in (C) a reducing atmosphere containing nitrogen gas at 1,550-2,050 deg.C for >=4hr.
