PURPOSE:To improve productivity and to perform rolling of high accuracy of plate thickness for each of strips in pack rolling mills for plural strips by using rolls for exclusive use of the respective strips, and controlling the thicknesses with each of the strips. CONSTITUTION:Plural rolling materials 1, 2 are uncoiled from uncoiling reels 7, 9, and are rolled with the work rolls 4, 5 of rolling mills, after which they are coiled on coiling reels 8, 10. At this time, their thicknesses are measured independently with thickness gages 15, 16 equipped on the outlet side of the materials 1, 2. The measured thicknesses are fed to comparators 17, 18, by which they are compared with target thicknesses set in a setting board 19, and the differential signals thereof are fed to controllers 20, 21 of motors 22, 23 for coiling reels whereby the tension of the materials 1, 2 is controlled until the thickness errors are made zero. |
