PURPOSE:To obtain illumination light matching with a scope equipped with a surface sequential type and a simultaneous type image pickup means by one light source device which emits white light by providing a rotary filter to the incidence end surface of a light guide which can be connected to the light source device. CONSTITUTION:In the surface sequential type electron scope 2 of the endoscope device 1 equipped with the scope 2 and simultaneous type electron scope 3, the projection light of the light source lamp of the light source device 4 passes through a condenser lens and a rod lens 29 and then passes through the rotary color transmission filter 32 of a light source connector 13 to become light beams of R, G and B successively, which are converged on the incidence end surface of the light guide 19 through a condenser lens. Further, a color filter array 24 is provided in front of the solid-state image pickup element 23 of the scope 3. The output signals of the elements 23 of the scopes 2 and 3 are sent to a CCD driving circuit and video process circuits 6 and 7 through a preamplifier 28 and signal cables 26 and 27. The signal of a position detection sensor 39 is sent to a rotation control circuit 47 and a timing generator 49 to synchronize the circuits.
