<p>PURPOSE:To accurately measure the surface temperature of a heated steel piece right after extraction from a heating furnace by removing completely scale produced at a predetermined temperature measured surface on the surface of the steel piece in the heating furnace. CONSTITUTION:The steel piece 1 is loaded in the heating furnace 2 in order from a loading table 3 installed on the inside of the heating furnace 2 and heated to specific temperature, and then the piece is extracted by an extractor 4 installed on the outside of the furnace 2 and sent to a rough rolling machine. The steel piece 1 is coated with a scale separating agent at a predetermined position so as to measure the surface temperature at the time of the extraction before being loaded in the furnace 2. Then when the heated steel piece 1' is extracted by the extractor 4, a scale breaker 5 provided nearby this extractor 4 spouts inert gas to remove completely primary scale produced on the surface of the heated steel piece 1' and the scale separating agent and then the surface temperature of the steel piece 1' after the scale separating agent is removed is measured by a radiation thermometer 6.</p> |
