Process for producing carbon-containing refractory products

In a process for producing hydrocarbon-containing refractory products, the refractory raw materials, aggregates and moisture are, after having been prepared, mixed to give a homogeneous compound and from the pressing compound green bodies are shaped, dried and fired. Hydrocarbons are added thereto and the customary further treatment is carried out. The addition of the hydrocarbons is carried out prior to firing and the green bodies are fired under reducing conditions to give the refractory products.
