PURPOSE:To shorten a processing time by storing mesh data on a two-dimensional plane so that while the address of access on one axis varies from its minimum to its maximum, variation in the address of the other axis is small. CONSTITUTION:When the mesh data on the two-dimensional plane is stored in two-dimensional array in a main storage device 2 and an external storage device 1, the data is so stored that while the address on one axis varies from the minimum to the maximum, the width of the variation in the address on the other axis is small. Then when there is an access command for reading the data, the data is read out of the external device 1 and rewritten unless the address is present in the main storage device 2. At this time, the maximum address position is read out of the maximum address position and written according to whether or not the address on the other axis is large. Consequently, the main storage device 2 includes an access-commanded address, and data are linked and stored.
