A cleaner for a conveyor belt includes a scraper (14) arranged transversely of the belt on the return side of the same. The scraper (14) is adjustably mounted for displacement about an axis (A) extending in the transverse direction of the belt. The scraper (14) has a scraping portion (32) thereof which intends to come in close contact with the surface of the belt and is deflected from the common axis at a point midway between both side ends of the belt so as to form an arch shape.
