PURPOSE:To execute pressure fixing while keeping press contact force almost at a fixed value and to miniaturize the titled device by pressing a fixing agent against a 1st recording paper by means of a 1st fixing press roll and then pressing the fixing agent against a 2nd recording paper by means of the 1st and a 2nd fixing press rolls. CONSTITUTION:The fixing agent is pressed and fixing to the 1st recording paper 3a by the 1st fixing press roll 13 and then the fixing agent 3b is pressed and fixing against and to the 2nd recording roll 3b by the 1st and 2nd fixing press rolls 13, 17. The linear pressure of the 2nd roll 7 pressed against the 2nd recording paper 3b by a load corresponding to the elastic force of a 2nd elastic member 19 is set so as to be almost equal to that of the 1st roll 13. Consequently, the press contact force of the 1st and 2nd rolls 13, 17 against the 2nd recording paper 3b can be made almost uniform to press and fix the fixing agent against and to the 2nd recording paper 3b.
