PURPOSE:To form a resin composition having a graft efficiency extremely increased as the precursor for grafting, by copolymerizing a specific radical (co)polymerizable organic peroxide and a vinyl monomer in a propylene polymer. CONSTITUTION:This precursor for grafting is formed by copolymerizing one or more vinyl monomers selected from the group comprising a vinyl aromatic monomer, a (meth)acrylic ester monomer, (meth)acrylonitrile and a vinyl ester monomer in an amount of 5-400pts.wt., and one or more of radical (co) polymerizable organic peroxides of formulae I or II in an amount of 0.1-10pts. wt. per 100pts.wt. said vinyl monomer in 100pts.wt. propylene polymer. The resulting product contains 20-95wt.% propylene polymer and 80-5wt.% vinyl copolymer, with the vinyl copolymer containing 0.01-0.73wt.% active oxygen.
