The reservoir outlet, consists of a valve (3) joined by a flexible coupling (2) to a float (1) on the end of a flexible tube (111) attached to the outlet pipe. The float ensures that the liquid used from the reservoir is drawn from below the surface but above any sediment (8) which might form on the bottom of the tank. As the liquid level goes down the float and valve go with it, but even at its greatest extend, the valve remains above the bottom residue.
