PURPOSE:To prevent the positions of printed dots from deviating and enhance printing quality, by starting the title recorder, performing a purging operation, and then jetting an ink toward a gutter provided on the front side of nozzles of a printing head, before printing. CONSTITUTION:Before printing, purging is conducted to remove air bubbles from the interior of a nozzle 25a of a nozzle mechanism 25 and the interior of a tube 25c for leading an ink to the nozzle 25a. After purging is carried out for all nozzle mechanisms 25 connected respectively to all of ink tanks 26, the ink 28 drooping at front surfaces of orifices 13 is flown away, blind printing after the purging is conducted for all of the nozzles so that no surplus ink droplets are left on the front surfaces of the orifices, and then printing is conducted by setting a paper at a printing position. |
