PURPOSE:To control the quantity of an ink to be supplied, automatically and speedily, by detecting the quantity of an ink at a checker roller by a sensor, and controlling the quantity of the ink by a controller on the basis of the result of detection. CONSTITUTION:A pair of film thickness sensors 11, 12 are disposed opposite to a checker roller 5. The sensor 11 is opposed to a surface not coated with an ink of the roller 5, whereas the sensor 12 is opposed to a surface coated with the ink of the roller 5. Detection signals from the sensors 11, 12 are sent to an A/D converter 62 of a controller 6 through amplifiers 13, 14, respectively, and are then inputted to a microprocessor 60. The controller 6 is provided with a counter 61 supplied with signals from a controller 63 for a pulse motor 7 and from a rotary encoder 2, and with a display device-setting switch 64 for displaying the detected thickness of an ink film. |
